About Macalester House: Lubbock Wedding Venue

With over 11,000 square feet of space to accommodate up to 350 guests, our Lubbock wedding venue is well equipped for large and small gatherings. The main area is over 4,900 square feet with 50 round dining tables, 12 rectangular tables, and 700 chairs.  This area can also double as a dance floor and provides ample open space for mingling. Macalester House boasts 20′ ceilings that make the space feel even larger. Across the main hall, 11 dimmable chandeliers set the tone for any occasion, whether you are listening to the toast or you don’t leave the dance floor. The main hall is equipped with a built in sound system and large ADA accessible restrooms, each with baby changing stations.

Our wrap-around covered patios encompass 6,700 square feet, and the back patio alone can seat up to 300 people. For the perfect indoor wedding or an outdoor event with spectacular views of the sunset, Macalester House is the perfect spot.

Our completely equipped caterers’ kitchen features a separate entrance with drive-up accessibility. This spacious kitchen includes 2 microwaves, a tray warmer, 2 refrigerators, prep tables, a 3 compartment sink, and large ice maker. This area connects directly to the isolated serving rooms for convenient buffet style serving lines or wait staff preparations to be served in the main hall.

Well Appointed Ready Rooms

Our bride and groom ready rooms are each accessible through the main hall and via outside access. Each offers a spacious area for preparing the entire wedding party for the big day. In the bridal suite, there are six luxury vanity stations so you don’t have to worry about everyone having to get ready in separate spaces. The groom’s room is equipped with a flat screen TV for entertainment. The restrooms in both suites are large and equipped with showers, vanities, and are both regular and ADA accessible.

For your comfort, each of our ready rooms has a separate HVAC system. This allows you to set the temperature as cool or warm as you prefer. There is no sense sweating any of these details on your wedding day.  Each room is complete with refrigerators and ample space to make your party comfortable as they prepare for the big day.
